Listen Later

In episode 19 of the Platform to Perform Podcast I spoke to Andy Bruce Andy is the athletic development and physical well-being coach at Merchant Taylors' School, Northwood. He has a background in Sport and Exercise Psychology and also works privately with eating disorders and obesity. He sits on the UKSCA SIG for S&C in Schools and is the co-founder of Statera, a web-application for youth athlete stakeholders to measure training load, maturation, readiness and injury in youth athletes.

Amongst other topics, in episode 19 of the Platform to Perform Podcast, myself and Andy discussed:

  • Whether the sports-based model of P.E is outdated in relation to the Association for P.E's latest outcomes
  • Navigating issues of nutritional best practice and body imagery within a school environment
  • Andy's co-founded web application, Statera, which brings all of youth athlete stakeholders together to measure training load, maturation, readiness and injury in youth athletes.
