Mohamedou Ould Slahi was taken from his home in Mauritania, imprisoned and tortured for over 14 years in Guantanamo Bay and Jordan, wrongfully suspected of being the mastermind of the September 11 attacks on the United States. 

He was ultimately exonerated and went on to publish his account in Guantanamo Diary and to have his story told in the Hollywood Blockbuster, “the Mauritanian.”  

Despite it all, he is filled with love, kindness and even forgiveness and a commitment to democracy and freedom. You don’t want to skip this episode.
