This episode we'll do another secular technique, based on the work of Dr. Andrew Weil, a world-renowned leader and pioneer in the field of integrative medicine, a healing-oriented approach to health care which encompasses body, mind, and spirit. The 4-7-8 technique, known also as Relaxing Breath, is a way to release tension and reduce stress levels in your day to day, and can be done anywhere at anytime. Use it to help yourself fall asleep, to prepare, or decompress from your workday, or when you notice yourself getting agitated or upset. If you get lightheaded at any point in this method, do not be afraid to take a break and breathe normally for a while.
