In this episode we will continue to look at repentance as God defines through examples in the book of Jeremiah. Jeremiah ch 31 is where the "new covenant" is referenced which is the new covenant in Christ discussed in the book of Hebrews. The problem with the people is they did not enter into the repentance that God requires. A repentance that can only be achieved through the new heart. The people acknowledged their sin before God, but they couldn't stop. They had a sin cycle in their life. So because they didn't accept the true words of God from the true prophets, but they continued to listen to the false prophets; God destroys the nation.Passages covered: Jeremiah 2:29-30, 3:10-13, 4:1-4, 18, 22, 5:1-3, 25, 6:16-19, 7:2-7, 22-28, 8:3-6, 9:13-16, 23-26, 12:15-17, 14:7-12, 20-22, 15:1-2, 6-7, 17:9-10, 18:6-12, 22:15-16, 23:16-17, 21-22, 25:3-5, 9, 26:2-6, 13, 29:11-13, 17-19, 31:31-34, 32:17-19, 23, 30-33, 37-40; 1 John 2:3-8, John 8:31-35
