This past weekend we got the shocking news that Maine music legend Brendon Whitney AKA Alias of Anticon had passed away tragically, unexpectedly at age 41 due to a heart attack, leaving behind his wife and two young daughters. Alias founded Anticon with Sole and as they became internationally acclaimed for their brand of indie-rap, they showed a lot of young Maine musicians that it was possible to come from here and achieve.
