Hailing from Fort Collins, Colorado, Talking Point is a band that makes emotional music with elements of hardcore.

After releasing their EP entitled Winter Demo 2023 two years ago, Talking Point just dropped their debut full-length album The Beautiful Things the Cold Brings on October 3rd. Featuring Copper Teeth, Silver & Gold, Eyes of Salt, and Bitchflower, The Beautiful Things the Cold Brings is a cohesive examination of grief, both lyrically and musically.

In this conversation, Jaren (vocals, rhythm guitar) talks with Mike about how he got into music, including being gifted a Fender Stratocaster from a distant cousin when he was younger, the formation of Talking Point, exploring grief on The Beautiful Things the Cold Brings, men's mental health, finding healthy outlets for our emotions, and more.
