Episode 197 - Jimmy Dorantes - Calexico 1930-1969
Today I had the please of talking to a life long Caleciano, amazing photographer, author and returning guest, Jimmy Dorantes. Recently Jimmy was selected to write the 2nd part of Calexico's book, the first book focused on the 1900 to 1929 and Jimmy is tasked on writing from 1930 to 1969. The last two weeks Jimmy has been meeting at the Carmen Durazo Cultural Arts Center with local residents listening to stories and collecting artifacts to include on this book. He will no longer meet at the cultural arts center but he will meet with you in person if you have any stories or items you would like to share and maybe be part of the book give Jimmy a call or send him a text at 619-368-4486 or send him an email at
