Zurf, Burt, Kiki, Kai, and their owlbear Fozzie have found their way to the center of the ominous crystal wastes. After dispatching some of the local mineral life, they set out to explore the ruins of a magically advanced society. However, they're not out of danger yet! Kiki carries a grudge against Burt, who is secretly infected with some sort of crystalline curse, and Kai has no idea what's going on. Even worse, Zurf appears to have made a pact with some axes of questionable origin. And then... the party splits!
