I speak with Ryan, who is both an adoptive dad of two boys and also in a same sex relationship. We speak about the adoption process, which Ryan concedes is long and arduous, but with good reason. 

Ryan is candid about the challenges of raising adopted children, but he takes it in his stride. 

We also talk about raising children in a same sex family, a family set-up that I have always felt can be overlooked. It's also easy to forget that 20 years ago, same sex couples could not adopt in the UK. They're a very modern kind of family, but Ryan's experiences suggest they have been accepted with ease.
