In this second episode, I’m letting you in on the hilarious, heartfelt, and downright miraculous story of how I met my husband—and how God weaved purpose through all the plot twists.
From a blind date in December 1985 to putting my initials on stop signs (yes, really), I’m sharing how our love story unfolded through breakups, yellow roses, moving in together before I graduated high school, and hearing all the opinions about how “we’d never make it.”
But we did. Through 18 school changes, a teenage pregnancy, hard jobs, and the hustle of making ends meet—we persevered. And in August, we’ll be celebrating 37 years of marriage.
This one’s for the woman wondering if her past disqualifies her from lasting love, or if her story could ever become something beautiful.
Spoiler alert: God writes the best love stories—even the messy, stop-sign-scribbled ones.
