Emma is our first guest on the show and she happens to be one of my very close friends. She was the first friend I had in college and our friendship has continued even though we live in 2 different cities now. She is also a Chinese adoptee who grew up in the U.S. Emma was the first person I had talked with about what it is like being a transracial adoptee and from those conversations grew the inspiration for this podcast.
