CHAZ (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone) emerged after protests raged in Seattle and the Seattle police department's East Precinct retreated and protesters took control over Capitol Hill in downtown Seattle. Armed guards have been seen, along with myriad of tents, gardens, mini-concerts, gatherings or rallies and throngs of occupiers roaming the streets.
