Episode 2: Danang Voestermans on Don't Call it Design
Today I'm joined by Danang Voestermans who has had to live through my journey to reclaim my identity as a designer (more about that in the next episode). Thoroughly exasperated one night (and who could blame him) he turned around and said to me that perhaps I should stop calling it design. Because “the shroud of mystery being created around design pushes people away, it makes design alienating and elitist." During this episode Danang explains why the word “design” makes him want to vomit in his mouth. We explore why design needs to be democratised, and what the future of design in business could be moving forwards.
This is a conversation you do not want to miss, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
