We live in such a fast paced society it is hardly reasonable to expect us to know the people that live within a few feet of us.  I am guilty of it but sometimes it is best NOT to know your neighbors.  In the case of my guest today, knowing her neighbor consumed 5 years and $30k in litigation costs feuding with the person next door.  Yikes...
