We discuss how stocks are actually businesses, which generate revenue, cash flow, and income. These metrics are far more informative than stock prices alone.
We then compare and contrast two meme stocks for 2024 – GameStop (GME) and Nvidia (NVDA), and how their fundamentals are driving their stock price movement. Stocks like GameStop were mostly driven by hype, and they are struggling to consistently grow their business.
In contrast, Nvidia is growing rapidly, with a large increase in revenue, net income, and free cash flow.
By learning how to read a company's fundamental statements, we can make better investing decisions in the stock market.
