Perhaps best known for her Tony-Award winning performance as The Baker’s Wife in the original Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical Into the Woods, Joanna Gleason's credits on stage and screen are many. Other Broadway credits include Tom Stoppard’s The Real Thing, Arthur Laurents, Charles Strouse and Richard Maltby’s Nick and Nora, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Peter Nichols’s play A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, for which she received her first Tony Nomination. Joanna’s film and TV credits include The Newsroom, Mr. Holland’s Opus, Boogie Nights, The West Wing, and two Woody Allen films: Hannah and her Sisters and Crimes and Misdemeanors.
