When it comes to Sickle cell, ignorance is not bliss.  On this episode I am joined by Funmi Eko, a Communications Coach and Content Developer  who is also a Sickle cell advocate. She shares her realities of living with Sickle Cell. 

Without no prior knowledge of Sickle cell, she found herself as a mother of Sickle cell warrior and was faced with the choice of whether to sink or swim. She shares  with listeners the extent to which she goes to get the information as she encourages parents of Sickle cell warriors not to give up
