Lauren Giddings was an intelligent and kind young lady with a brilliant future ahead of her.  She had just graduated law school, was in the process of preparing for the Bar exam and had plans to move in with her boyfriend and start a life together.  Unfortunately, another law student by the name of Stephen McDaniel had other plans for her.
