One thing that struck me (Mike) when I was was reading the story of Joshua is how Israel came out wilderness and into the Promised Land. The children were the ones crossing over but the parents died in the wilderness. There's something to be said about this. I believe it was then as it is now. Many of us were born in the wilderness where our parents died. The wilderness could be a place where our parents may have not been saved and we, the children, never knew the goodness that God has for us.
