President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that he has put together a task team to look into mandatory vaccinations as the country battles with a new and more contagious COVID-19 variant, Omicron. With rising daily infections, there is a desperation to get as many citizens as possible vaccinated but uptake has slowed down with less than 35% of the population vaccinated. 

Are mandatory vaccinations constitutional? Should they be implemented? What would be the legal route and implications? Would they work?
