When you hear the name "Samuel Morse", the first thing that comes to mind is a series of dots and dashes, communicating information through the telegraph wire. But there's more to the man than that. He had a knack for painting, a (thankfully) failed political career, a mess of legal trouble, and, to be honest? Kind of a raging ego. And also a lot of problematic beliefs.
