The Millennial generation was identified by Strauss & Howe in 1991 in their first books on generational theory, Generations. Since the first year they were born was 1982,  Strauss & Howe was making predictions about them when the oldest member was less than 10 years old. (They also coined the term "Millennial" for them, based on their including the high school class of 2000.) 

Rather than talk about cell phones or entitlements or other stereotypical Millennial traits, we'll focus on what was predicted about them twenty-five years ago. That has implications for what comes next in our current Crisis, as well.
