In the second episode of the hybrid cloud forecast series, Andre talks to Bala Rajaraman, IBM Fellow, Global Technology Services. Bala talks about his experience with building and managing  reliable, compliant, secure, mission critical applications for different industry verticals and how to help enterprises modernize them. They talk about hybrid cloud as more than a location - as more a architectural model than a location model, how delivering software at scale and modernizing existing architectures is a journey, and how existing and new architectures and locations can co-exist.  Bala and Andre talk about management challenges on how to build and deliver modern and monolithic applications in a way that continues to improve upon management of existing systems while delivering features for new application in an agile manner. Finally, they discuss the importance of not only automatically managing applications, but intelligently managing them.
