In this episode, Fran catches up with her former student, Rachel Christianson. Along with working in LA as an actor, she has been seen on stage in various theatres in Cincinnati and Chicago. She is also the owner and lead puppet builder at Puppet Mechanics. She has built puppets for stage productions (the regional premiere of Hand to God with Victory Gardens Theatre in Chicago) to commercials to wrap gifts for Happy Time Murders. She's been known to also produce, direct and write short films with puppets as well. They'll talk about how Rachel got from the University of Evansville to Cincinnati, Chicago, and finally ended up in LA with a successful career in acting and puppeteering. Rachel is still using the jewelry making skills that Frances taught her at UE to make puppets which anyone can order from her website. She also talks about the atmosphere in LA during the times of Covid and how to maintain a work-life balance while making a living as a Creative.
