Intro

Who are we? -Two Black counselors who are bridging the gap between what they were taught, what they know, and what they think they know. All through understanding the world by recognizing the world is still being formed.

Topics: The Power of Patience & Understanding

Segment A- Patience is used by taking positive action in the face of set-back, frustration, anger, and compulsion which leads to peace, calm and greater effectiveness! What role does patience play in your life? What type of relationship do you have with Patience? 

Is there a recent instance in your life that you can draw upon to reflect your journey with patience? What moments in particular support, or deny your use of your patience?

Segment B-  What’s the underlying reason for your impatience: Pride? Control? Comfort? Fear? Selfishness? Distrust? Lack of practice?

Segment C - What are some ways you learned to replace frustration with positive action when the unexpected happened? Follow up question how has patience allowed you to achieve your dreams, goals, and aspirations? 10 min

Period/Highlight/shoutouts( figured before we close we have a mini segment where we put a fact out there on counseling, black men, our community etc and/or shout out someone or something that made an impact in your life.

Next time on Thoughts From A Counselor-The Black Man Can - A reoccurring segment where we dispel and discuss topics that put men of color specifically black males in a deficit mindset. Next week’s focus is ……….Dwade and Gabby discussions around/with their daughter. We'll also cover the wonderful support the Wade family is providing.
