Should you work harder than what your degree requires? Always. However, that’s much easier said than done..

A degree acts as an access key into the world of your studies, it’s up to you to use that access to your advantage. Todd Barnes & Wayne Edwards -both educators at Universities located in CT- unravel why it is so important to develop skills outside of your degree in order to succeed outside of the classroom. 

Todd & Wayne’s takes on transferring out of the classroom and into the workforce:

  • Roles and responsibilities are becoming more combined. Students need to have larger skill sets to succeed.
  • You must make connections with those who are in high positions, positions in the field you’re studying to dive into and learn from them.
  • You must work harder than what your degree requires.
