Episode 20: 7 Week Update

Mike & Kate are just your typical couple wanting to have children and start a family together… with one small catch: due to Kate’s chronic Lyme disease, it’s not safe to do a traditional pregnancy, so they’ve turned to using a surrogate. It seemed like the only option was to use a surrogacy agency to help them on their journey, but once they started doing their own research and spoke with others who went through the process, they decided that doing an “independent journey,” or one without an agency, was very possible. But they found that it was tough to track down all of the info needed to feel confident, so they decided to make a podcast to try to help others in a similar situation get up to speed and arm them with enough info to feel confident making the journey themselves.
