Episode 20 is our last look at Leonardo DiCaprio (for now) and it's Ren's pick of 2019's Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood.
It is another collaboration between Tarantino and Leo with A-list support from Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie.
We discuss on this episode:
- How awesome the due of DiCaprio/Pitt is
- The challenges of Margot Robbie needing to represent the innocence of Hollywood through her portrayal of Sharon Tate
- The monster comedic chops Brad Pitt brings to the role of stunt double Cliff Booth
- The fantastic soundtrack and awesome costume/set design for 1969 Hollywood
- Leo having to portray an actor who can't act well and blend in so many roles through this film
- Tarantino blending so many genres in his writing and directing of his love letter to LA
- Also, we discuss whether this can be seen as Tarantino's Magnum Opus. Is Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood his best film?
We would love to hear from you!
