Why do we feel guilty?

What is Guilt?

Guilt Definition: (Noun)

The fact of having committed a specified or implied offense or crime.

The question is – did you “intend to cause harm?”

If so, then guilt is the appropriate feeling. If not, then guilty is

not the correct emotion!

Similar to “I am Sorry.”

Definition: (Adjective)

Feeling regret or penitence.

We say ‘sorry’ all the time. Listen for the word in everyday conversation. I’m sure you know someone that says sorry before starting a sentence. I’ve even experienced people saying sorry for everything they say or do if those around them show any sign of upset, confusion or distress.
