authentic (from Miriam Webster): real or genuine : not copied or false : true and accurate.  When it comes to authentic people I think that definition is a bit simplistic. It is a little harder to define, but like a great photograph you just know it when you see it.  I used to play golf so pulling this movie clip from the archives.  Listen to the sage, Bagger Vance and what he says about authenticity.
