When we look across today’s headlines, from Venezuela’s political crisis to Iran’s internal unrest and Israel’s watchful defense, it is easy to see chaos — but Scripture invites us to see covenant.
Our Hebrew word of the week is שָׁמַר — Shamar — meaning to watch, to guard, to keep, to preserve with care teaches that whether in Eden, in Jacob’s heart, in the priestly duty, or in Israel’s collective calling, Shamar describes a holy attentiveness — to Yah’s word, to His covenant, to His people, and to His presence.
Yah allows what is hidden to be revealed so that what is eternal can stand.
