Trusting your instincts will guide you down the right path most of the time, especially when working with kids.  Effective teachers know that trusting ourselves as professionals is necessary.  We have to be bold enough to be innovative, creative, and different - even if that means occasionally going against "consensus."  Trust is important in any relationship.  That includes trust in yourself.
