Commercial and editorial photographer Emily Shur joins the podcast to talk about how she went from a kid growing up in Houston Texas with an early love of photography and a dream of one day working for Rolling Stone, to shooting some of the most recognizable faces in the world for a huge list of clients that most people would dream of working with.  During our conversation Emily talks about how she found photography in high school and how it ended up helping her through a rough patch of her teen years and gave her a purpose that she continues to nurture today, how she went from working as an assistant in the offices of Rolling Stone to being featured in the pages of major publications across the country, what inspired her move from New York to LA and how hard it is to get into the competive world of big celebrity shoots, the importance of all her personal projects and how it has helped her to stay passionate about the art of photography, and the advice she gives to others chasing their own creative dreams.
