Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) Director Fariborz Pakseresht addresses the COVID-19 vaccination requirement for employees in the executive branch of state government. During the 4-minute podcast, he touches on vaccine hesitancy among people with long histories of medical mistreatment - especially Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islanders and other people of color, people with disabilities and those who are unable to get the vaccine -  and calls on the ODHS community to practice compassion and understanding for people of all backgrounds and faiths as we navigate the ever-changing currents of this pandemic.
