Garland cofounded Advanced with his wife, Dorothy and he is the author of Gettin' Unbusy. Garland helps individuals and organizations know their why while living and leading with greater sense of peace. Garland worked while earning his doctorate and helped raise three kids. He started experiencing migraines, heart palpitations, and exhaustion.  That's when he learned he was stressed out due to busyness. That experience let him to focus his doctoral work on the effects of busyness on leaders and how to beat it.
