René is only 20, yet she had already lived through experiences most people never have to face.  While still young herself, she helped raise her younger siblings, taking on responsibilities far beyond her years.  Through every season, God's hand has been on her and her siblings, guiding them through dire circumstances, into foster care and finally adoption in loving families.
