Channel 5 in Seattle had a regular locally produced a variety talk show called "Seattle Today" that ran from 1974 to 1991. In 1979, co-hosts Chris Lenz and Shirley Hudson traveled to Hawaii to interview Pay O'Day and Lan Roberts, both popular radio personalities in Seattle and Hawaii.
