Dr. Anne Innis Dagg is a pioneer in her field. Before Jane Goodall, Diane Fossey and Leaky’s Angels, there was Dr. Dagg. She went to Africa to study Giraffes and never looked back. She has written the seminal book in her field and has inspired countless other to take the same journey. In the 70s and 80s after being denied tenure over less qualified, she spoke out about gender inequality in science and education and became just as well known for her feminist writings. She is the subject of the new documentary The Woman Who Loved Giraffes from director Alison Reid. The two joined me to talk about it.
