Many times we have certain intentions, but sometimes the way they are received is much different.

I had a conversation today that I received as negative, and I'm not sure it is. It was just how I received it.

In addition to how are comments perceived, we can also make snap judgments based on the information we have about someone.

This can be based on something as simple as a title they hold.

Just by knowing this, our conversation can be derailed and never get deep into conversation with an opportunity to learn.
