Today's reading is from 1 Kings 17:13 (NIV), "Elijah said to her, 'Don't be afraid.'"
Additional Scripture: Proverbs 3:9 and 2 Corinthians 9:6-11
"The more you give, the more He gives to you."
That's a line from one of my favorite songs, You Can't Beat God Giving. It encourages us to continue to give back to God (as does today's reading). In good times, give. In the toughest times, give. There are many ways to give. Remain open and ask God.
"You can't beat God giving
No matter how you try.
Just as sure as you are living
And the Lord is in heaven on high.
The more you give
The more He gives to you.
Just keep on giving
Because it's really true.
That you can't beat God giving
No matter how you try."
