This week, we ventured into the Paris Catacombs to find the long lost Philosopher’s Stone. Or rather, we watched a crew of people do this in a weird horrifying version of a National Treasure or Indiana Jones type movie. Basically if you make Nick Cage a woman, and instead of finding the Declaration of Independence she finds actual Hell on Earth underneath the city of Paris, you get As Above, So Below (2014). It is a JOURNEY to say the least. We also go through the film’s depictions of the circles of Hell, as Dante’s Divine Comedy: Inferno likely played a part in the inspiration of the movie! If you want to learn more about the Paris Catacombs (or rather, the Ossuary), head on over to our Ko-Fi! We have a whole episode dedicated to it coming out next week in a Here’s Horror Deep Dive bonus episode.
