Today's hip edition covers four important studies spanning revision surgery, perioperative care, and patient outcomes. We examine highly porous mega cups achieving 95% survival at 5 years in complex revision cases, validation of the Caprini DVT risk model combined with nutritional interventions reducing DVT from 50% to 17.8%, synergistic blood loss reduction with combined tranexamic acid and fluid gelatin, and dramatic improvements in sexual health after THA with concerning gaps in perioperative counseling.
