Episode #22 - Kim Balstad - The Aum Nation
Kim Balstad grew up in an Air Force Family, and as a result of overseas assignments, was exposed to numerous cultures and beliefs. These travels planted the seed that germinated into a life long journey of learning and spiritual growth. Kim is the Founder of The Aum Nation and co-host of the bi-weekly Holistically Curious podcast.
She has a Master’s Degree in Metaphysical Sciences, is a certified yoga teacher, Level 2 iRest meditation teacher, and Reiki Master.
When Kim is not working on The Aum Nation or the Holistically Curious podcast she chills out with her wonderful Hubby, 2 amazing sons, 3 beautiful grandchildren, and 3 super snuggly fur babies (2 cats and 1 Chihuahua who thinks he is a cat.)
One of Kim’s favorite quotes is by Mahatma Gandhi. He said, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” Kim say’s she can use some work adhering to the first part of this quote, but as far as the second half goes…she is 100% on it! Kim likes to joke that she has the memory of a gnat and says she is sure she’s forgotten most of what she has learned over the years, but the passion and desire is always there to learn more and to relearn what she may have forgotten.
