Eat This Book!

Episode 22: Shut In

Listen Later

When everyone was inside the ark, God closed the door. Not Noah—God. This episode explores what it means that the Lord shut him in. For those inside, the closed door meant safety; God took responsibility for their security. For those outside, it meant the opportunity had ended. The same hand that saved Noah’s family sealed the fate of everyone else. And then came seven days of silence—the door shut, but no rain. Faith often feels like that: you obey, you commit, and then you wait in the dark while the sky stays blue. But God’s word is sure. The rain came. And the God who shuts doors knows what’s coming next. Sometimes what feels like a cage is actually a boat.
