In this episode, This Realm of Existence Blog & Podcast creator and host Sharron W., speaks with Dr. Tierra Ryan about being a black woman in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).

Dr. Ryan is a fellowship-trained Pharmaceutical Industry Pharmacist, who currently serves as a Field-based Oncology Medical Science Liaison with Eli Lilly & Co. In this role, she is responsible for engaging in scientific discussions with some of our countries leading oncologists, pharmacists, and nurses on the scientific data of Lilly’s oncology portfolio.

Dr. Ryan earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Temple University School of Pharmacy. Upon graduation, she worked in retail pharmacy for two years, before pursuing a Post-Doctoral Fellowship via Rutgers Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program (RPIF). She has spent the last thirteen years working in the pharmaceutical industry in various roles.
