On episode 220 another one of our friend Dom’s connections Trell Brooks joined us for a great discussion! Trell is an MC based in North Carolina with a keen ear for music and a sharp lyrical ability. We loved getting to learn more about his story having not met him until the interview! He described for us his upbringing being involved in band where he learned to play several instruments as well as his background with poetry and writing in general. It was these two things that helped lead him towards the life of being an artist in more recent times. We touched on some of the singles he’s dropped over the last couple years and what his next full body of work will have in store as he aims to provide a true and meaningful message for listeners. We also really enjoyed hearing about his long term goals not only as an artist but ways he aims to give back and help his community all of which he’s putting into practice each and every day in the present. Trell has an amazing outlook on life and we always feel anyone with that kind of perseverance and passion is bound to have continued success moving forward!
