In 1973, Constance Webb embarked on a journey to the Peruvian Amazon while pregnant to investigate spiders with medicinal qualities. Despite encountering obstacles, she eventually finds the spider, only to have it seized by her protector, Ezekiel Sims, who desires its abilities. Tragically, Constance is shot by Ezekiel before being saved by members of the Las Arañas tribe. She gives birth to a daughter before passing away.
