When you think about stories in the Bible you might recall Abraham and Sarah, Noah and the Flood, even Jacob and his wives. But when was the last time you really read those stories? Turns out, there are a lot of weird, inappropriate, and at times abusive, sexual relationships in the Bible. As modern readers, we often either ignore these stories or we attribute them to strange customs that no longer hold sway in our communities, but what we don’t realize is how much these old stories still affect the way we talk about sex today.
