On this episode of KMUZ Theatre Talk, Ann and Ed interview David Janowiak, who’s been a leading force behind Western Oregon University’s BFA theatre program for 24 years. He’s also the founder of the Valley Shakespeare Company and one of the founders of the professional Salem Repertory Theatre. David is headed to the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, in July to chair their theatre program. He leaves behind a legacy that few university theatre leaders can match. We also learn that he’s making a road trip of the journey back East with his wife, twin 6-year-old boys and two dogs. David will be long remembered and sorely missed, so join us for this in-depth interview.

Later, Ed and Ann are joined by Tamara McGinnis, head of the theatre program at Corban University, to talk about their 2023 Summer Theatre Camp for kids from grade 4 through high school. This two-week program is jam-packed with all kinds of fun, so join our conversation to learn more.
