Lisa Lamson is a lecturer in the History and Humanities departments at the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay and a graduate student at Marquette University where she is working on her Ph.D. in American History under the direction of Dr. James Marten. Her work examines cultural attitudes around black girlhood and childhood in educational settings and how this institution's policies and changes reinforced back and white understandings of the girl's future.
